Built when live insights went away

Live visitor analytics for people who ship and then need to know if it worked. Modovisa grew out of a gap left when Yahoo Live Insights shut down — and was built to go much further than that product ever did.

The live view, as it runs

This is the same live visitor list you get in the product — people moving through a demo store as it happens, with the page, source and path attached.

What Modovisa is for

See who is on the site now

A live list of visitors with the page they are on, where they came from, and the campaign that brought them — not a chart that fills in tomorrow morning.

Follow the path they took

Journeys and path replay show the route of a visit page by page. It is a timeline of where they went, not a video of their screen.

Connect traffic to spend

First-party UTM tables, a Campaigns workspace, and Ads Connect so ROAS sits next to the same visits you watched live.

Watch a shop while it is still open

Baskets and checkouts in progress, orders as they land, and full carts people walked away from — with value attached.

Where it started

For years, Yahoo Live Insights gave site owners something rare and useful: a simple way to see real visitors as they arrived. Then it was decommissioned. The product that many teams had relied on for day-to-day “is anyone here?” questions was gone, and the usual alternatives were either heavy reporting stacks built for analysts, or privacy-first counters that only showed totals.

Why Modovisa exists

Modovisa was built to fill that hole — and to push past what Live Insights offered. Not another overnight report. Not another exploration builder. A workspace centred on live people: who is on the site, the path they take, whether a campaign paid for them, and — for shops — what is in the basket before it becomes an abandoned-cart statistic.

More than a Live Insights replacement

Live visitor lists were the starting point. Around them we added page journeys, path replay on paid plans and the trial, ecommerce tracking for stores, first-party campaign reporting, and Ads Connect for Meta and Google spend. One small script powers all of it. Moving up a plan unlocks more of the same data — nothing to reinstall.

How we try to work

First-party data, plan limits stated plainly, and comparisons that admit when another tool fits better. The pricing page names exactly which tier unlocks which feature. The compare pages say when Hotjar, Clarity, Plausible or GA4 is the better answer for a given job. We would rather lose a signup than win one on a misunderstanding.

Where to go next

Pricing lays out plans and limits. Features walks through live tracking, replay, Store and campaigns. Integrations covers your platform. Guides walk through install and campaign setup. Questions go to [email protected].

Who it is built for

The same product, used at the moment the next ten minutes still matter.

Marketers who just launched

Publish or switch an ad on, then watch whether real people arrive on the page you paid for.

Store owners

See checkout while someone is still in it, and keep the baskets that walked away with value and a path to replay.

Agencies on a go-live

Open the live view during launch instead of waiting on a shared overnight report.

Teams leaving a heavy stack

Keep GA4 for board packs if you need it — use Modovisa for the daily “did it work?” questions.

Frequently asked questions

What was Yahoo Live Insights?

A Yahoo product that showed live visitor activity on a site. When it shut down, teams that relied on that simple live view lost it. Modovisa was built as a stronger answer to the same need — live people first — with journeys, campaigns and store tracking around it.

Is Modovisa only a Live Insights replacement?

No. Live visitors are the core, but Modovisa also covers page journeys, path replay on paid plans, ecommerce tracking, UTM reporting, Campaigns and Ads Connect. It is meant to go well beyond a live counter.

How do I contact support?

Email [email protected] for product support, sales, billing or partnership questions.

Is there a free plan?

Yes — 1,000 events a month on one site with 30 days of history, plus a 21-day trial of the paid features for new accounts.

Does Modovisa record the screen?

No. Path replay shows the pages of a visit in order with time on each. Mouse movement, clicks and screen video are not captured.
